Aphibarnrat spends winnings on 'cars, watches, Yeezys'
Thai golfer says he spent all his winnings from 2016 on new watches
Kiradech Aphibarnrat, once described as the “Asian John Daly”, says he spent all his earnings from last year on watches, and seems to have a penchant for the luxurious.
The 27-year-old Thai had three wins on the European Tour in 2016, helping him to a current world ranking of 86.
After an opening round of 66 in the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, he told the Golf Channel he owns 15 pairs of Yeezys, which can cost over $1,000 each – and there’s more.
"Watches, I think all that I can make, the earnings from last year has gone to buy all of my watches," he said. "So I have a lot of work to do. That's why I play a lot around the world, that you guys see. I spend a lot of it on all that stuff."
He also recently bought a white Ferrari.
"If I go anywhere, everybody knows there's only one in Thailand," Aphibarnrat said. "So that's the key why I had to buy white."
