Aaron Wise cruises to three-stroke win at AT&T Byron Nelson
Wise wraps up maiden PGA Tour title at the age of just 21.
Aaron Wise has been hotly tipped for a bright future in the game and the fresh-faced 21-year-old is already proving why in recent weeks with a runner-up at the Wells Fargo Championship followed by maiden PGA Tour glory at the AT&T Byron Nelson.
On a day of low scoring, Wise, who shared the 54-hole lead with Marc Leishman, carded a flawless 6-under 65 at Trinity Forest GC to seal a three-stroke win over the Australian on a day when play was suspended by four hours due to bad weather.
Branden Grace fired a round-of-the-day 62 to share third spot with J.J Spaun and Keith Mitchell, who both posted closing 63s, with Jimmy Walker a further two strokes back in sixth spot.
"It's a dream come true to win this one," said Wise, who wins his first event in his 18th start as a PGA Tour member. "I felt oddly calm all day long and to pull it off and play as good as I did was awesome."
