LPGA Tour star Nelly Korda signs with Nike Golf, joining Tom Kim
World No.2 Nelly Korda has signed with Nike Golf as per an announcement the American posted on her social media platforms.
World No.2 and former Women's PGA Championship winner Nelly Korda has signed an apparel deal with Nike Golf, adding to the company's loaded roster of athletes.
Korda used to wear J. Lindeberg clothing on the LPGA Tour, but now the 24-year-old has joined the brand associated with some of sport's biggest icons such as Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan.
The American announced the news on her social media platforms on Saturday afternoon in an excited fashion. "JUST DID IT! Super excited to join the Swoosh family," Korda wrote online.
Nike Golf has signed one of the best players of recent years in the women's game. Korda has won eight times on the LPGA Tour since 2018, with her most recent victory coming at the Pelican Women's Championship in November.
Arguably the highlight of her career came in 2021 when she won the KPMG Women's PGA Championship by three shots at Atlanta Athletic Club. She has also played in two Solheim Cups and has an Olympic gold medal in her trophy cabinet.
Nike Golf started 2023 with a bang with the signing of Korda and also Tom Kim earlier this month too. Kim is a two-time PGA Tour winner and has emerged as one of the world's most exciting talents at just 20 years old.
Kim debuted his Nike Golf apparel at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Korda is set to start her LPGA Tour campaign at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions at Laka Nona on January 19.
As well as her win in Belleair two months ago, she also made seven top-10s in 2022, during a season when she had to take time away from the game to deal with a blood clot.
Having stopped playing in March, she required surgery and returned to action at the US Women's Open at the start of June.
