LPGA Tour star Danielle Kang has revealed she was taken to hospital after she was forced to withdraw from the Drive On Championship in the opening round.
Kang had made it to No. 14 at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club when she started feeling nauseous.
The 30-year-old American, who has won six titles on the LPGA Tour and also claimed her maiden major in 2017, has stated she had been treated for a chest infection prior to the tournament.
Writing on Instagram, she said:

Last June, Kang said she was struggling with back pain.
She had medical procedures to find out the source of the discomfort and it was revealed she had a spinal tumour.
At the time of the diagnosis, she still fought through the pain to play at the 2022 U.S. Women's at Pine Needles, won by Minjee Lee.
She said:
Kang was out of action for two months and then made her return at the CP Women's Open last August.
This year, her results have been mixed. She posted a T-12 at the Tournament of Champions, a T-38 at the Honda LPGA Thailand and a T-3 at the HSBC Women's World Championship as she battled Nelly Korda and Jin Young Ko down the stretch.
Kang is one of the most charismatic players on the LPGA Tour. Last April she revealed she was deliberately missing greens.
Last October during the Mediheal Championship she absolutely tore into the state of the greens, stating that they were s***. Kang claimed even the members of the club were furious.
