Chiara Horder wins 120th Women's Amateur Championship
Germany's Chiara Horder claimed the 120th Women's Amateur Championship Sunday in Kent.
Chiara Horder claimed the 120th Women's Amateur Championship in a stunning final performance at Princes Golf Club on Sunday.
Horder, who recently finished her sophomore season at Texas Tech University, defeated American Annabelle Pancake 7&6 Sunday to claim the impressive amateur title.
The German golfer quickly went 1-up after the first hole on Sunday and never looked back on her way to victory.
It marked the end of an impressive week, after Horder defeated World No. 1 amateur Ingrid Lindblad 4&3 the day prior during the semi final.

Lindblad, of Sweden, recently took over the No. 1 spot after Rose Zhang, who had held the position for a record number of weeks, recently turned professional.
Zhang incredibly won her first professional LPGA Tour event a week later at the Mizuho Americas Open in a playoff.
Lindblad, who just finished her senior season at LSU, has had her own impressive collegiate career.
She's a three-time ANNIKA Award finalist, has finished inside the top-five twice at the Augusta National Women's Amateur, and had low-amateur honours from a historic performance at last year's US Women's Open.
Now, Horder will have her own chance to impress at both Augusta National and the US Women's Open.
With the win on Sunday, Horder earned exemptions into the AIG Women’s Open, US Women’s Open, the Amundi Evian Championship and will be invited to the Augusta National Women's Amateur next April.

Horder finished her second season at Texas Tech with a 72.66 scoring average after 35 rounds in 12 events.
On 6 June, it was announced that Horder would be leaving Texas Tech and joining Mississippi State's women's golf team for the upcoming season.
