Did Phil Mickelson just confirm this prominent LIV critic asked Norman for $55m?
Phil Mickelson's latest social media activity appears to confirm one prominent LIV Golf critic and PGA Tour member asked to join LIV Golf...for $55m.
Even though Phil Mickelson has returned to social media since creating that firestorm when he joined LIV Golf, he has remained largely a much quieter presence.
We haven't had any ice cream analogies to bash the USGA. Nor have we had any preening about his massive calf muscles.
But every now and again Mickelson, now 52, comes from the top rope after lurking in the shadows.
He's done it again.

It may be nothing, but this would be sensational if true.
It all started when Hank Haney - a former coach of Lefty's arch nemesis Tiger Woods - made the suggestion on his podcast that there is one prominent LIV Golf critic who had previously asked the breakaway tour for $55m.
It was suggested by some on social media that this player in question was Billy Horschel.
Greg Norman's LIV apparently said no, which is curious given some of the players currently on their roster.
In case you didn't know Horschel - a full PGA Tour member for more than a decade - has been putting the likes of Mickeslon and all of the other "rebels" on full blast since LIV Golf played their first $25m invitational in June at Centurion Club.
Horschel accused some of the LIV guys as being outright hypocrites and liars.
The American, who made his Presidents Cup debut earlier in the year, sensationally went on a full-blown rant in his news conference at the DP World Tour's flagship event at Wentworth.
Now this has happened:
Hank Haney said on his pod that a player who is really vocal about how bad LIV is and saying LIV golfers shouldn’t play PGAT and DPWT events, asked for $55 mill earlier in the year and LIV rejected it.

Absolutely sensational and hilarious if true.
What did Billy Horschel say about LIV Golf?
Horschel let loose on the LIV players at Wentworth in early September.
