You know you're destined for some golf career when appearing in front of the cameras on prime time television at the age of nine. That's what Rory McIlroy did back in 1999.
Tipped for the top ever since winning the World Junior Tournament in the under 10 division, McIlroy announced his name to his homeland when appearing on 'The Kelly Show' as a fresh-faced youngster.

McIlroy spoke about how he honed his short game by chipping balls into his mum's washing machine, so you can probably guess what game was played on the show, as his mum and dad watched from the front row of the crowd.
