Woman dies after car crash at Donald Trump's golf course
38-year-old female driver dies after car crash at entrance of Trump International Golf Links.
A woman has died after her car left the road and smashed into a wall at the entrance to Donald Trump’s International Golf Links in Scotland.
The crash happened just after 3pm on Saturday at the entrance to Trump International Golf Links, at Menie Estate, off the old A90 Aberdeen to Peterhead road.
A black Volkswagen Golf was travelling southbound from the Balmedie direction when the accident happened.
Police, ambulance crews and the fire service were all called to the scene but the 38-year-old female driver could not be saved.
It is understood formal identification of the woman will take place later today.
Fire crews from Ellon and Central, Aberdeen arrived at the scene at about 3.20pm and used cutting gear to free the woman from the car.
The last appliance left the scene at about 6.40pm.
The golf course remained open throughout, however the road itself was closed for several hours to allow collision investigators to assess the scene.
