Grayson Murray earned a dramatic victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii on the first hole of a playoff, defeating Ben An and Keegan Bradley by holing a 39-foot birdie putt to clinch his second PGA Tour title.
Murray, 30, confirmed his return to form in Hawaii with four stellar rounds in the 60s, with his standout performances coming on Friday and Saturday, carding 63 and 64 at the Waialae Country Club.
The victory marks Murray's first on the PGA Tour in six and a half years, with the American having struggled for form as a result of his admitted struggles with alcohol addiction, depression and anxiety.
While the wait for his second PGA Tour title has been a long one, Murray did add to his win tally in 2023, taking home the Simmons Bank Open on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Victory at the Sony Open has also catapulted Murray up to a career-best 47th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
