Sergio Garcia has revealed that his new driver, the TaylorMade Qi10, is the best model the brand has made since the SIM, which was first released in 2020.

Speaking exclusively to GolfMagic, Garcia praised the new driver and, upon its release, even took to Twitter to voice his love for the new big stick.

In response to GolfMagic's social media graphic of the Qi10, Garcia tweeted: "It’s the best they’ve made since the Sim."

Garcia has toyed with a number of drivers since he last used the SIM in 2020, with Callaway's Paradym Triple Diamond being his driver of choice for the majority of the 2023 season.

Since the Qi10 was launched in early 2024, though, it has been a mainstay in the Spaniards' bag, and he revealed exactly why when we had the opportunity to speak to him earlier this week.

He said:

"I think it’s a combination of two things, it’s a combination of the look. I think the face looks a lot more square so that then that, to me, it feels like it’s easier to align, and secondly, it feels easier to get back to square at impact.
"When the faces are that curved on the sides, it makes it look weird to me, like if you don’t hit it in the middle, you are going to lose, so it kind of plays a little bit into your head.
"So that’s one of the first things I loved when I first saw it. Then the other thing was the spin control on it is much better than the last few drivers. I’m able to consistently hit the ball with a good launch between probably 1700 to 2300 RPMs which is ideal for me, you know I can see draws I can hit fades with that and I can gain as much out of the club as possible.
"So those couple of things obviously help a lot, and that’s why it’s in the bag."

Notably, Garcia is no longer affiliated with TaylorMade as a staff player, underscoring the significance of his endorsement.

Having enjoyed a 15-year tenure with the brand before departing in 2017, Garcia briefly signed with Callaway before returning to TaylorMade in 2021.

However, his association with the brand concluded after he transitioned from the PGA Tour and DP World Tour to LIV Golf.

Garcia has enjoyed early success with the Qi10 in the bag, having already recorded a second place finish at LIV Mayakoba.
