Bubba Watson is back where he belongs in 2018 following two early-season victories on the PGA Tour, and much of that would appear to be down to several equipment switches - and of course a new bill of health.

While much talk of instant mprovement has been made about Watson's switch back to the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, the 39-year-old who tasted victory at last week's WGC Match Play Championship has also tinkered with his putter this season.

Watson sealed the deal on a second victory in his last four starts with a commanding 7&6 victory over compatriot Kevin Kisner in the final at Austin Country Club.

Watson put a new PING PLD putter in play and won with straight away at last month's Genesis Open, and it's understandably still in his bag today.

According to PING, the club is 34.25 inches, weighs 340g but most importantly has 4.5 degrees loft.

Previously Bubba had been using putters between 2.5 and 3 degrees of loft. Watson spent some time in the off-season experimenting with putter lofts and decided he needed a lot more.

And what about the big dog - the club Bubba is renowned for the most. Well Bubba continues to trust his familiar pink PING G400 LST driver at 8.5 degrees with a finished loft of just 7.6 degrees. Incredibly, Watson’s driver has 15 wraps of tape - yes 15!!

The PING G400 LST is a low-spin version of the standard model. Watson has fought too much spin off the tee in recent years, and the LST has brought that number down to a more desirable level.

Watson also continues to use the PING S55 irons, which he has been using ever since winning his second Green Jacket at The Masters in 2014.

He struck one iron out to 366 yards earlier in the week. WATCH HERE

Bubba has also made the recent switch to use G/Fore gloves and shoes.

The big-hitting American is now up to 21st in the world rankings following his 11th PGA Tour title at the weekend.
