TaylorMade has announced the launch of the Stealth 2 (£499), the Stealth 2 Plus (£529) and the Stealth 2 HD drivers (£499), a year after releasing their groundbreaking Carbonwood drivers.

Stealth 2 Carbonwood drivers combine the speed of Stealth with more technological advancements which should bring an extra layer of forgiveness to your game.

TaylorMade has built on the speed-producing success of the original 60X Carbon Twist Face with a new face design that features an advanced version of Inverted Cone Technology.

The ICT is designed to maintain ball speed with off-centre hits and increase forgiveness (or Fargiveness). The ICT also produced a thinner face on the edges and a thicker centre face, made to spread speed around the club.

The Stealth 2's face weighs 24g, 2g less than the first Stealth face. It is designed to have an expanded COR area for a larger sweet spot and most importantly, boosted performance.

Stealth 2 is TaylorMade's first driver that has more Carbon than any other material in terms of volume. The company has gradually increased the use of carbon over five years and there is a 75% increase in carbon in the Stealth 2 Plus and nearly double in the Stealth 2 and Stealth 2 HD.

More carbon creates more mass that can be relocated for higher MOI and an optimal centre of gravity location. More carbon enabled engineers to increase the total MOI in the Stealth 2 Plus by 9% from the Stealth Plus.

Stealth 2 maintains technological features made from the original Stealth driver. The 60X Carbon Twist Face is encased by a polyurethane nanotexture cover that is used to fine-tune launch and spin to optimise total distance regardless of playing conditions.

The Inertia Generator remains the foundational source of refined aerodynamic properties. The result is a slippery-fast head shape that aids in swing speed generation on the downswing while retaining high MOI, for golfers at every level.

TaylorMade’s flexible Thru-Slot Speed Pocket design is engineered to maximise ball speed and produce additional forgiveness on low-face strikes.

The Stealth 2 Plus features a 15g sliding weight track which helps golfers dial in shot shaping by shifting the mass on the sole. This helps to create a desired ball flight. This is the lowest-spinning driver of the family.

The Stealth 2 delivers high MOI performance with a heavy 25g tungsten weight on the Inertia Generator. The TaylorMade Swingweight System is strategically located on the sole which creates optimal launch and spin properties.

With the Stealth 2 HD, engineers used weight savings from the full-body carbon construction to shift the Inertia Generator closer to the heel. This creates a high launch and draw bias with extreme MOI. This is made to be the most stable and forgiving driver in the family.

The Stealth 2 HD Women's driver has a lighter head than the standard HD model and a unique colourway. It has been designed to enhance club head speed and it maintains a high MOI for an easy and high launch.

These drivers can be pre-ordered on January 10 and at retail on February 17. Here is a rundown on the prices, degrees and shafts of each driver.
