PING staffer Matt Wallace beat fellow Englishman Andrew Johnston in a play-off at the Indian Open.

Wallace holed out on the first extra hole with a birdie, while Johnston - known as “Beef” - lipped out when trying to match him.

The 27-year-old Wallace had carded a four-under 68 on Sunday in New Delhi, to claim his second European Tour title.

"After being three over after eight holes on the opening day I played some of the best golf of my life," Wallace said.
