Adidas reveal new Tour360 golf shoe for 2017
New adidas Tour360 golf shoe said to offer more comfort and stability than ever
Adidas has revealed a new version of the Tour360, showcasing more comfort thanks to Boost technology, increased stability, and a new aesthetic.
“Our quest to create the perfect golf shoe just got one step closer with this new Tour360,” said Masun Denison, global footwear director, adidas Golf. “Our original Tour360 BOOST rose to being the best-selling shoe in the US market last year, so we know golfers are going to appreciate these updates that we’ve made to what was already a great product.”
New outsole top plate
Sits above the midsole, allowing the shoe to accomodate natural foot flection. Plate wraps higher on the lateral side, but is soft enough for lateral and medial stability for transition of power.
Sprintskin technology
For more support, Sprintskin is added on inside of the upper lining.
Toe-down appearance
Leather upper creates a traditional look, for limited distraction. Also adds comfort and saves weight. This change came from dialogue with Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia.
Premium heel
Has a more classic shape with premium leather throughout. Adds comfort and durability, and keeps players locked in.
More outsole flexibility
Improved TPU outsole is softer and more malleable, which makes the shoe lighter overall.
The Tour360 has Boost technology in the midsole, a 10-cleat puremotion TPU outsole with CenTraXion and thintech cleats. A Torsion Tunnel offers flexibility, while the fitfoam collar and new tongue combine for comfort. It comes with a two-year waterproof warranty.
More colours will be available in 2018.
