adidas Golf name Dustin Johnson's replacement?!
adidas Golf have named the latest player who will be wearing the three stripes months after LIV Golf's Dustin Johnson split with the brand.
Ludvig Aberg is a name you may not be all too familiar with, but remember it as the Swede is hot property and has been signed by adidas Golf months after Dustin Johnson officially parted ways with the brand.
Aberg is in the early days of his PGA Tour career. He turned pro having ranked first in the PGA Tour University rankings.
In his PGA Tour starts thus far, he has posted three top-25 finishes. That may not bowl you over, but consider that three of those came in stacked fields in events that were given designated status with $20m prize purses.
The 23-year-old was announced by adidas Golf on 27 June and the deal will see him wearing headwear, apparel, footwear and accessories.
Aberg said:
The president of adidas Golf, Jeff Lienhart, said:
Aberg joins the adidas Golf ranks alongside Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele and LPGA Tour superstar Rose Zhang.
The aforementioned Johnson split with adidas Golf after 15 years in February.

Johnson is the team captain of the LIV Golf team and also owns a 25 per cent equity stake in it.
Going forward, part of the success of LIV hinges on the team element.
The primary asset of that is the team jersey that Johnson and team-mates Pat Perez, Patrick Reed and Peter Uihlein will wear.
We do not know if LIV Golf will continue beyond 2023. The 'framework agreement' between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf appeared to suggest the two organisations will assess the breakaway league at the end of the season before making a decision on whether to continue.
Lienhart previously said of Johnson:
