The sole of the wedges feature a pre-worn leading edge designed to act like a skid plate to avoid the club digging into the turf at contact. Thanks to the higher bounce on offer from the CB wedges, players can expect a great deal of forgiveness too.
The CB wedges are the first wedges on offer from Callaway to feature the brand's Urethane Microspheres. They're placed strategically behind the striking area of the club face to produce enhanced feel and sound for an incredible feeling cavity back wedge.
The wedges feature Callaway's ultra-high spinning Jaws Grooves that we loved when we tested the Jaws Raw wedges. The grooves have been treated with a face blast to enhance surface roughness on the face. This additional roughness is designed to help produce increased spin on short shots around the green. The grooves extend across the entire face of the 56, 58 and 60 degree options to enable groove to ball contact at every impact point.
Callaway have partnered with Golf pride to create a special wedge grip that is longer than standard grips. The extended grip is designed to give players the option to choke down on the club for enhanced distance control.
The wedge's stock steel shaft is the True Temper Elevate 95, while graphite options are available from Project X Catalyst in 65 grams and UST F1 in a WMS flex.
The wedges are available to purchase in a variety of lofts: 48°, 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°
Callaway CB wedges will be available to pre-order June 30 and at retail on July 7.
RRP CB wedge in steel shaft: £149
