Rory McIlroy's ex agent makes outrageous Tiger Woods claims ahead of Masters
Rory McIlroy's former agent Chubby Chandler has some outrageous things to say about Tiger Woods on the eve of The Masters.
Tiger Woods has reportedly imposed a 'sex ban' ahead of next week's Masters Tournament, but Rory McIlroy's former agent Chubby Chandler considers the 15-time major champion has already had '55 years worth of sex in 20 years'.
In a bid to give himself the best possible chance of creating Masters history next week, a friend of Woods, 48, has told New York Post the former World No.1 has imposed a sex ban in order to conserve energy and maintain focus before the season's first major at Augusta.
Woods' friend told New York Post:
"He’s focused. He’s working really hard in the gym. He’s eating right. He’s even eliminated sex.
"He does that now when he’s preparing: no sex until the tournament is over. He doesn’t want anything to take away his focus.
"The Masters is Tiger’s must-play event every year.
"He’s working very hard, spending hours in the gym, practicing, taking care of himself. He wants to play, and he always plays to win."
McIlroy's ex-agent Chandler did not hold back in his assessment of such news in an outrageous interview with BoyleSports.
Chandler said:
"Tiger has had 55 years worth of sex in 20 years."
He then added that Woods 'is not that interesting' anymore at The Masters and that next week could be his last tournament at Augusta National 'before he starts teeing off at 8am with a very old Davis Love and the like' .
The golf agent also does not believe 125/1 shot Woods will tie Jack Nicklaus for six Masters wins on 14 April.
But he does not want to see him withdraw from The Masters and come up with an excuse after 36 holes.
Woods underwent ankle surgery immediately after withdrawing from The Masters ahead of the final round in 2023.
The record-tying 82-time PGA Tour winner will be making his first competitive start next week since withdrawing during the second round of the Genesis Invitational in mid-February through illness.
Chandler added:
"In a way now, Tiger isn’t that interesting to me at The Masters but as soon as he shoots 2-under on the first day you’re like ‘oh, hang on’ and you start watching again. He is that sort of a person.
"It might be Tiger's last before he starts teeing off at eight in the morning with a very old Davis Love and the like.
"But the ticket price has held up a bit because of him. I don’t want to say he’s not going to be competitive this year because you never ever know with him. When he won in 2019 that was just unbelievable.
"You hesitate to write him off, but I can’t see it. What I hope he doesn’t do is not complete the first 36 holes again. All this coming off because you’re sick or coming off for something else, you don’t want to do that very often because people see through that quite quickly."
