Jon Rahm's 'king move' in Masters green jacket gets golf fans hyped
Golf fans loved Jon Rahm's appearance at Major League Baseball where the Spaniard threw out the ceremonial first pitch in Game 4 of the World Series.
Golf fans appeared to absolutely love Jon Rahm's Major League Baseball appearance.
The Spaniard threw out the ceremonial opening pitch before Tuesday's Game 4 of the World Series between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Texas Rangers.
Rahm, if you didn't know, is an Arizona State University alumnus. It was there where he met the wife and mother of his two children, Kelley Cahill.
The 28-year-old joins Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth to throw a first pitch in the same year as their Masters victories.
Scheffler and Spieth were recently pictured at MLB. Golf fans appeared to be more interested at the state of Scheffler's beard, though.
Rahm claimed his second major at Augusta National in April, defeating Brooks Koepka by four strokes. The American later admitted he choked in the moment.
The former World No.1 got a massive ovation from the Chase Field crowd. He unbuttoned the green jacket before throwing the pitch. He was also wearing a white shirt and a pink tie.
"Absolute king move," one X user wrote.
Another added: "Respectable throwing form from Jon Rahm, always get a little nervous when a non-American golfer has to throw something."
This fan said: "Nicely done, Jon Rahm, even though your throw was a bit off."
There are strict rules about what Masters champions are allowed to do with the green jacket.
Rahm detailed what Masters champions have to abide by when he appeared on GOLF's Subpar podcast earlier in the year.
It will come as no surprise to you that Masters champions cannot make public appearances in the green jacket without smart attire. That means no shorts and no jeans.
Augusta National do not permit Masters champions to wear the green jacket in public without them knowing.
Oh, and you're not allowed to be photographed in the jacket while consuming alcohol.
