'It's happening...' Paige Spiranac makes Rory McIlroy claim
Golf social media sensation Paige Spiranac believes 2025 is finally the year that Rory McIlroy completes the career grand slam at The Masters.
Golf social media sensation Paige Spiranac believes 2025 is finally the year Rory McIlroy completes the career grand slam at The Masters.
Spiranac, 31, made her feelings be known about McIlroy winning the 2025 Masters after the World No.2 captured his second Players Championship title at famed TPC Sawgrass on Monday.
McIlroy, 35, has now won twice already this season and he has now racked up a mammoth 28 titles on the PGA Tour.
The Northern Irishman scooped a $4.5m jackpot for winning The Players - and rather fittingly for him on St Patrick's Day.
Spiranac, like many ardent McIlroy fans, has been a vocal backer of the Ulsterman in the majors despite him remanining winless in the big four ever since the 2014 US PGA.
But McIlroy looks in the form of his life right now, and in the eyes of Spiranac he already has one arm in the sleeve of the famous Green Jacket.

McIlroy admits he will likely play in one more PGA Tour event in Texas prior to The Masters from 10-13 April.
The TaylorMade staff player went back to his trusty Qi10 woods at The Players, and the decision paid instant dividends as he ran out another big win on the PGA Tour.
McIlroy forked out just shy of $1,000 to get those clubs driven to him ahead of the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational earlier this month.

But back to the top of the story and Spiranac is backing McIlroy to finally complete the career grand slam at The Masters next month.
Paige has seen enough of McIlroy in five starts so far this season to believe he's the man everyone has to beat at famed Augusta National.

McIlroy has two wins to start the 2025 PGA Tour season - coming at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and The Players Championship - along with a T4 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic over on the DP World Tour.
And while not quite on his game in the other two starts, he still racked up top-20 finishes at Tiger Woods' Genesis Invitatonal (T17) and Arnold Palmer Invitational (T15).
At this very moment in time, Spiranac loves what she sees from McIlroy, who has now been trimmed to 13/2 behind Scottie Scheffler (9/2) in the betting market for The Masters.
"Rory to win The Masters," tweeted a confident Spiranac. "I know but really this year is the year it’s happening."

McIlroy is a four-time major champion having won the US PGA twice (2012, 2014), US Open (2011) and The Open (2014).
To the shock of many golf fans around the world, the first major of the season has still escaped McIlroy, who has four top-five finishes at The Masters down the years.
He finished second to Scottie Scheffler in 2022, but arguably his best chance came in 2011 when he threw away a four-shot lead in the final round.
A golf fan reportedly reminded McIlroy of that near-miss at The Players last week, and it did not sit well with him.
McIlroy trudged over to the fan (a college golfer) and took his phone!
The man in question has since responded.
