Genesis Scottish Open 2022 LIVE: Scores, leaderboard, updates from Round Two

Keep up to date with round two of The Genesis Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick.

American Cameron Tringale held a three-shot lead going into day two after shooting a sublime, bogey-free 9-under 61.

Xander Schauffele and Matt Fitzpatrick have both made significant moves on Friday in East Lothian, shooting 65 and 66 respectively to move into contention.

World No.1 Scottie Scheffler struggled in the first round, making four bogeys and a double-bogey on his way to a 3-over-par 73. He teed off at 1.15 pm looking to recover.

14 of the top 15 players in the world have flocked to The Renaissance Club to complete their final preparations for The 150th Open Championship next week at St Andrews.

The projected cut is 2-over par.

Big names Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas and Hideki Matsuyama are on course to miss the cut by some way.

Ian Poulter, who has riled up his fellow pros by taking legal action to play here, shot an 8-over par 78 on day one and a 72 on Friday to finish on 10-over for the week.

Fleetwood working hard...

Tommy Fleetwood, starting on the back nine, is 2-under par after his first six holes of the day.

He's back to 1-over par for the tournament.

Thomas struggling...

Justin Thomas, like Matsuyama, had a tough start.

He's looking a bit windswept out there and is gritting his teeth in between shots, hands in his pockets and looking a bit frustrated.

The U.S. PGA champion has just picked up his first birdie of the day at 15 after making two bogeys at 12 and 13. He started on the back nine.

He's 4-over par for the tournament.

Nightmare start for Hideki

Hideki Matsuyama did not have the start he envisioned when he was clipping away golf balls during his range warm-up.

The Masters winner started 6, 6 with two double bogeys at No. 10 and 11.

He'll need a fair few birdies to make it through to the weekend.

Matsuyama has started to move in the right direction in the last few moments, though, as he's picked up a shot at No. 13 to move back to 5-over par for the tournament.

Fitzpatrick on the move

Matthew Fitzpatrick is having a good start to his second round.

He's 3-under par for the day. He started on the back nine and birdies at 10, 11 and 15 have him moving up the leaderboard nicely.
