Adam Scott told by member of U.S. Presidents Cup team: "I don't feel sorry for you"
Two-time major champion Xander Schauffele has explained why he has little sympathy for Adam Scott, despite the Aussie enduring misery in the Presidents Cup.
If you want to know how it feels to taste defeat in the Presidents Cup, perhaps there is no better candidate to ask than Adam Scott.
This week the Australian will be making his 11th appearance in the biennial contest at Royal Montreal Golf Club in Quebec, Canada.
During his Presidents Cup career, Scott has played 49 matches and partnered 16 players.
He made his debut in 2003 and has been on the receiving end of nine consecutive losses.

This record, one would assume, might draw some sympathy.
Not for Xander Schauffele, though.
The American was asked if he felt bad for the 44-year-old in his news conference on Wednesday.
"I absolutely do not feel bad for Adam Scott," the two-time major champion said.
"I like Adam Scott a lot, but I do not feel bad for him at all. I don't think any male out there feels bad for Adam Scott.
"I mean, no. For me, I'm stubborn, and the more I get knocked down, the harder I push back up.
"If I had lost 10 times in a row, I'd come back champing at the bit even harder than ever. I'm sure that's what they're doing."
For his part, Scott knows he won't get many more opportunities to appear on the winning team.
But he told reporters that he has more optimism than ever before that the tide could turn over the next four days.
That is despite the International team not having the likes of Cameron Smith and Joaquin Niemann.
Both players are prohibited in the Presidents Cup because they are LIV players.
The U.S. team is also without Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau.
"Certainly, I want to improve my record in this event and I'm very determined," Scott said.
"I don't know how many more opportunities I'll get, if any. So this is a big week for me.
"But I have a lot of belief in this team. I can't remember feeling so comfortable coming into a Presidents Cup."
So why will things be different this time around?
"You know, our team effort and dynamic has changed so much.
"The captains, the program the captains have put into place for us, they are kind of teeing everything up for us.
"I think a couple years ago was a tough, tough spot for us at Quail Hollow."
He added: "You know, a few guys who may have been on our team weren't there, and the last few years, we've rebuilt and we've put together a formidable team.
"I think playing the United States is never easy, whether you're the Internationals or Europe, but we can take inspiration from what Europe has managed to do with general on paper being the underdogs."
Scott has been selected by International captain Mike Weir to partner Min Woo Lee in the opening session.
The duo are playing against Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala.
