Tiger Woods wants to urgently 'ruin the logo' of his new Sun Day Red brand
Tiger Woods wants to earn more stripes...
Tiger Woods has told TODAY host Carson Daly that he intends to 'ruin the logo' of his new Sun Day Red brand.
But with very good reason.
Woods, 48, shocked the world of last year when he announced he was terminating his 27-year deal with sports giant Nike.
Earlier this year, the 82-time PGA Tour winner confirmed he was setting up his own new golf clothing and footwear brand, Sun Day Red.
The name of his brand was obviously targeted at him always wearing red in the final round of tournaments on Sundays.

As for the meaning behind his new Sun Day Red logo, it's a tiger with 15 different stripes.
Each reflecting his 15 major titles.
Only Woods wants more stripes.
...and so that means more major titles!
In a fascinating nine-minute interview with Daly, the former World No.1 spoke about a number of topics in the game.
They included:
- His younger days and background to the sport
- His thoughts on World No.1 Scottie Scheffler
- What he would have done if he wasn't a golfer
- His likely playing schedule for the majors
- His relationship with his children, Samantha and Charlie
- How he wishes his father, Earl, had been around to meet Charlie
But in concluding comments about his new Sun Day Red brand, which opened for business on Wednesday 1 May, Woods told Daly his goal was to simply 'ruin the logo'.
Woods told Daly:
"So the logo is a tiger, it's a simple thing. It's nice and clean, but there is some representation of what I have done in my career. If you look at the stripes, there are 15 stripes, and as you alluded to earlier I've won 15 major championships. My goal is to ruin the logo. I want to keep ruining the logo. If the trademark is this, my job is to ruin it."

Despite a disappointing solo 60th at The Masters, which saw Woods finish last of those that made the cut last month, the 15-time major champion is hopeful he will still be able to compete in the remaining three majors of 2024 at the US PGA, US Open and The Open.
They take place over the next three months.
Could Woods do the unthinkable and be forced to add another stripe to his Sun Day Red logo?
Many golf fans and critics consider Woods' best days on the golf course are now behind him.
But after miraculously winning his 15th major title against all the odds at the 2019 Masters, there are still plenty of golf fans and reporters not yet willing to write him off just yet.
Maybe it will fall at the very next opportunity at the US PGA at Valhalla.
After all, it's a course he has good vibes on having won there in 2000 when getting the better of Bob May in a playoff.
