Scottie Scheffler holes out for eagle from 100 yards (!) in fairway bunker at WM Phoenix Open
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler hit one of the shots of the 2025 PGA Tour season when holing his second shot for eagle from the fairway bunker during the first round of the WM Phoenix Open.
Scottie Scheffler brought the house down in the first round of the WM Phoenix Open when holing his second shot from outside of 100 yards in the fairway bunker at the par-4 10th at TPC Scottsdale.
Scheffler, 28, had got off to a lethargic start and found himself 2-over par on the front nine.
But the runaway World No.1 turned his opening day around with one of the shots of the 2025 PGA Tour season so far.
Scheffler took dead aim with a wedge from 104 yards.
The PGA Tour superstar landed his ball just short of the pin and it rolled perfectly into the centre of the cup for an eagle-two.

Scheffler would unfortunately give both shots back on the par-3 12th.
He found the water with his tee shot and then failed to get up and down from 35 feet.
Scheffler would get one of those shots back with a two-putt for birdie on the par-5 13th to move it back to 1-over par.
But he has it all to do in order to haul himself back into contention for a third WM Phoenix Open title.
Scheffler is currently well off the pace.
A number of big-name PGA Tour are off to fast starts at the WM Phoenix Open including Wyndham Clark and Justin Thomas.
