Scottie Scheffler confirms date of PGA Tour comeback
Scottie Scheffler has confirmed he will make his long-awaited comeback to the PGA Tour at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler has confirmed he will make his return to the PGA Tour next week.
Scheffler has registered for the signature AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
The official announcement was made on 24 January.
Scheffler has been out of action since he sustained a cut to his right hand.
The reigning Masters champion was making homemade raviolis over Christmas when suffered a puncture wound to his right palm.
It forced him to miss both Tour events in Hawaii, as well as last week's American Express.
I *think* this is the first sighting of Scottie Scheffler since he cut his hand on Christmas Day and had to get surgery. Looks like he’s wearing some sort of cover/brace

He needed surgery to remove shards of glass.
Scheffler spoke to reporters last week and he explained that he wasn't going to rush his comeback just for the sake of it.
He refused to say when he started hitting full shots again but was adamant his rehab was going well.
"I'm definitely anxious to get back, excited to get back, but I'm also not going to rush back just to rush back," he said.
Scheffler said he took a full two weeks off after sustaining the cut.
During his time off, he watched a lot of golf as well as highlights from his glittering 2024 season which saw him win seven titles in a calendar year.
Victories included his second green jacket at Augusta National, the Players, an Olympic gold medal plus triumphs at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, RBC Heritage, Travelers Championship and the Tour Championship.
He was also named the player of the year for the third time in a row.
"I went back while I was sitting around kind of elevating my hand post-surgery, I was just sitting there, watched some old shots, watched some old tournaments, and I reflected a little bit," Scheffler said when asked what he had been up to.
"I just really wanted to jog my memory and since I wasn't able to play golf, I tried to almost train a little bit at home to remind my brain what I was feeling over certain shots, what my hands felt like on the club, stuff like that, so I wasn’t totally checking out from golf."
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am has the largest field (80 players) of the $20 million signature events because of the amateur component over two days at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill.
Scheffler tied for sixth last year when it was reduced to 54 holes by raging wind and rain, along with a forecast so bad on Sunday that it led to roads being closed.
Wyndham Clark was the champion 12 months ago.
Jordan Spieth update
Jordan Spieth will also make his first start of 2025 next week.
The three-time major champ had surgery on his wrist last August.
Spieth did not qualify outright for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
But he is slated to play on a sponsor exemption.
