'How many?!' Golf fans stunned by PGA Tour player's revelation at The Sentry
Golf fans in shock after learning just how many albatrosses PGA Tour pro Taylor Pendrith has had after adding to his tally at The Sentry.
Golf fans are in state of shock on social media today after learning just how many albatrosses PGA Tour player Taylor Pendrith has now reached in his career after adding to his tally in the final round of The Sentry on Sunday.
An albatross is a very rare achievement in golf as it means you either made a one on a par-4 or a two on a par-5.
In this incidence, Pendrith made a two on the par-5 5th at famed Kapalua in Hawaii.

Unfortunately there was not particularly great footage of Pendrith's double eagle albatross.
That annoyed a lot of avid PGA Tour fans.
The hole out from Pendrith, 33, happened so early in the coverage that PGA Tour camera crew were not properly in place to capture the shot.
As a result we only saw some grainy footage, which you can check out below....
Nevertheless, it was an incredible shot from Pendrith who went on to close with a 66 to finish the week T13 on 22-under par.
That was 13 shots behind runaway winner Hideki Matsuyama, who pocketed a gigantic $3.6m for his week's efforts in Hawaii.

After the round, Pendrith left golf fans and reporters in disbelief after claiming he has now made eight albatrosses in his golf career.
Although this was the only one he has made in a PGA Tour event.
The Canadian also admitted that was five more than the amount of aces he's made in his career.
"That's actually number eight, which is weird. I've got three hole-in-ones and that's number eight albatross. First one in a tournament. It was pretty cool." said Pendrith.
He added: "Yeah, it's been like four years probably since I last made one, but they're obviously super rare and, yeah, it was awesome to see it go in, but I knew it was going to be close for eagle, and to have it drop was a huge bonus. Yeah, it was a really good shot, so it got rewarded."
Tiger Woods has never made an albatross in his PGA Tour career.
It's unknown whether Woods has ever made one outside of the PGA Tour though.
"Eight albatrosses, that is unbelievable," commented one PGA Tour fan.
Another wrote: "How many?! Unreal that."
"Five more albas than aces, love it," tweeted another fan.
"Wow that's insane. I thought double eagles for even the pros were fairly rare," wrote another.
"That's how I play without any witnesses," joked one fan.
One fan was not particularly surprised by the update though, especially considering Pendrith is one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour.
"When you pound it like he does he has more opportunities. Not surprising at all."
