Hideki Matsuyama celebrates first ever PGA Tour ace exactly as you'd expect

Hideki Matsuyama celebrated his first ever hole-in-one on the PGA Tour exactly as you would expect.
The former Masters champion managed to grab the unlikely ace during the second round of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.
Predictably, Matsuyama kept the celebration rather low-key. He managed to crack a smile and engage in a few fist bumps.
But it was hardly Tiger Woods imploring the spectators to raise the roof a la Phoenix Open in 1997.
It seems hard to believe a player of Matsuyama's quality hasn't had a hole-in-one on the Tour.
Per the official PGA Tour website, this week represents Matsuyama's 246th start since making his debut in 2014. Just an insane stat, really.
So let's talk about the shot.
It happened on the eighth hole of the South Course. Matsuyama took dead aim to a pin that was tucked towards the back of the green 165 yards away.
As announcer Curt Bryam explained, getting the ball on the top shelf is somewhat difficult given the bunker behind the pin.
"You do not want to go long," he said. No sooner did he utter those words did Matsuyama's towering iron shot land on the green, bounce three times and then spin into the cup.
Amazing.
"Dry January is over," said on-course analyst Colt Knost. "It sure is," added Byram.
What an absolute laser. Congrats Hideki. We still can't believe he's never made one until now.
