Golf legend Tiger Woods confirms rumour about his private life is true with 'bizarre' statement

Multiple major champion Tiger Woods has confirmed he is currently in a romantic relationship with Vanessa Trump.

Last week the DailyMail claimed the 82-time PGA Tour winner was dating Donald Trump Jr.'s ex-wife. 

Vanessa's daughter Kai, 17, goes to the same school in Florida as Tiger's children Samantha, 17, and 16-year-old Charlie. 

Both families reportedly live approximately 20 minutes away from each other in Jupiter, Florida. 

"Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!" Tiger said in a statement confirming their relationship on 23 March. 

Woods also shared two photographs with Vanessa. In the first, the couple are beaming from ear-to-ear whilst in the second they are relaxing in a hammock. 

"We look forward to our journey through life together," Woods added. "At this time we would appreciate privacy to all those close to our hearts."

Woods has not been romantically involved with anyone since he broke up with Erica Herman in late 2022. 

The golfer dated Erica - a former manager at his restaurant The Woods Jupiter - for six years before their relationship ended in acrimonious circumstances. 

Following the split, Herman filed a lawsuit seeking to nullify a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) she had signed at the onset of their relationship, citing the Speak Out Act (SOA). 

The SOA allows NDAs to be voided in cases of sexual assault or harassment. 

She also pursued a $30m lawsuit against a trust owned by Woods, claiming she was unjustly evicted from their shared residence.

Erica claimed that she was asked to pack for a vacation but found out the golfer had the locks changed when she got to the airport. 

In November 2023, Herman dropped both lawsuits and stated that she had never been a victim of sexual harassment or abuse by Woods or his associates. 

Tiger is currently facing another lengthy spell away from men's professional golf. 

The 15-time major winner was ramping up his practice sessions ahead of the 2025 Masters Tournament when he felt a twinge in his heel. 

A scan later confirmed the worst news, with the golfer rupturing his left Achilles. He had surgery on 11 March. 

His good friend Rory McIlroy later confirmed he expected Tiger to miss all four of the major championships in 2025 and hopes to see him back on the course next year. 

"It sucks," McIlroy said. The Northern Irishman also said he believes Tiger will attempt to mount another improbable comeback. 

Just this week, former Masters champion Fred Couples claimed Tiger was in great spirits. 

"He's my man, and texting him is a lot of fun," Couples said.

Meanwhile, Tiger's ex-wife Elin Nordegren was reportedly shocked when she found out the golfer was dating Vanessa.
