Golf fans stunned where Tiger Woods will move in OWGR if he wins this week
Tiger Woods will dramatically climb the OWGR ladder if he wins the Genesis Invitational on the PGA Tour.
Tiger Woods might currently be occupying one of the worst Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) positions of his legendary golf career, but all that could change rather dramatically if he wins on his PGA Tour return at this week's Genesis Invitational.
Woods, 48, is making his first official PGA Tour start in 10 months at famed Riviera.
The former World No.1 has already turned heads this week by unveiling his brand new Sun Day Red brand in association with TaylorMade.
Woods is currently ranked a lowly 893rd in the world, but all that can change hugely with a record 83rd PGA Tour title on Sunday.
He is currently tied on 82 PGA Tour wins with late great Sam Snead.
Should Woods win the 2024 Genesis Invitational, he could vault a whopping 839 spots to 54th in the OWGR.
Woods fell outside of the 1200 for the first time in his career back in 2022.

A victory this week for Woods would be a shock to say the very least, especially given he has been out of competitive action for so long on the PGA Tour.
Woods has also never won a PGA Tour event at Riviera.
The bookmakers have installed Woods at a huge 125/1 this week.
Some bookies are even offering 200/1 on the eve of the tournament that starts today.
The 2024 Genesis Invitational marks the third Signature Event of the season.
There is a $20m prize fund on the line with a record $4m going to the winner.
Although it is a limited field there will still be a halfway cut on Friday night.
Many ardent Woods fans are just hoping he makes the cut and remains fit and healthy as he nears the first major of the season at The Masters in the second week of April.
Woods is playing alongside his good friend Justin Thomas and Gary Woodland for the first two rounds.
The Tiger Woods Foundation is hosting this week's event.
