Billy Horschel unloads on golf fan after hearing comments at WM Phoenix Open
PGA Tour star Billy Horschel rips into a golf fan at the WM Phoenix Open.
PGA Tour star Billy Horschel unloaded on a golf fan after hearing him shout out while his playing partner Nicolo Galleti was hitting a shot on the final day of the WM Phoenix Open.
The incident with a fan marked the second altercation in the space of hours as last year's US Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson confronted spectators behind the ropes.
Horschel took aim with one fan who would not keep quiet while Galleti was playing his shot to the par-4 11th.
"Buddy when he's over the shot shut the hell up man, come on, he's trying to hit a damn golf shot here," Horschel fired back at the spectator in the crowd.
"It's our f***ing job."

Haha the players have had enough!!!
For the record I am 100% on Billy Horschel’s side here. STFU when a player is over the ball.

Horschel has been enduring something of a nightmare in the final round with four bogeys on his outward nine.
That has seen him tumble out of contention.
Prior to the final day of the WM Phoenix Open, PGA Tour player Ben An tweeted how the tournament had been getting out of hand.
When responding to a tweet about his experience at the 2024 WM Phoenix Open, An replied: "S***shows. Totally out of control on every hole."
A series of videos went viral at TPC Scottsdale on Saturday of a number of fans hurling themselves down muddy slopes, while one fan launched himself into a bunker.
One woman was injured on the famous stadium hole par-3 16th on Saturday.
As a result of the scenes that unfolded on Saturday, alcohol sales were ended.
An added in another reply: "Yes I know what I signed up for. Played here multiple times over the years and it was fine until today... it’s just personal experience."
