Golf fans react to Ben An's outrageous tweet as PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan travels to Saudi Arabia for talks with PIF.
Golf fans have been reacting to Ben An's outrageous three-word tweet after the South Korean learned PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan was boarding a flight over to Saudi Arabia to speak to the Public Investment Fund (PIF).
PGA Tour boss Monahan is reportedly in Saudi Arabia this week as he holds further talks with the PIF in light of their ongoing framework agreement.
It is understood the deadline for the shock merger between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and Saudi PIF has been extended through to the end of March 2024.
But back to the original story, and it's An's short and sweet tweet about Monahan that has got plenty of golf fans talking today.

To add context to An's tweet, he was suspended by Monahan and the PGA Tour for three months last season.
This was after it was deemed he had violated the PGA Tour's anti-doping policy.
According to a statement from the PGA Tour last season, An, 32, "tested positive for a substance prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) contained in a cough medicine available over the counter in his native Korea."
Yes, cough medicine.
An served his three-month ban on the PGA Tour from 31 August 2023.
He had no idea he had gone against the rules, but accepted the decision.
The suspension saw An ruled out of all the Fall Series tournaments last season.
An's tweet about Monahan has sent golf fans wild with many speculating what he could have possibly meant by such words.

To An's credit, he has since raced out the blocks in 2024 with a solo fourth in the first event of the season at The Sentry followed by a runner-up finish at the Sony Open when being defeated by Grayson Murray in a three-man playoff that also comprised Keegan Bradley. An had a short four-foot birdie putt to extend the playoff but he missed the hole on the right side.
He has never won on the PGA Tour but he did win the DP World Tour's biggest event of the season at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth in 2015.
An is currently ranked 39th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
The South Korean's real name is Byeong Hun An, but he goes by the name of Ben An.
