Tour pro makes 'agenda' claim against Open hopeful Thriston Lawrence
Three-time DP World Tour winner hits out at 'the agenda of certain Tours' on the subject of South Africa's Thriston Lawrence.
Three-time DP World Tour winner Thomas Aiken believes 'golf has a lot of growing to do' because apparently very few people in the sport know a great deal about his South African compatriot Thriston Lawrence.
They should do, thinks Aiken.
Lawrence, 27, is currently in contention to land his maiden major title at the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon.
Aiken, 41, took to X / Twitter as Lawrence hit the top of the leaderboard on the front nine.

He considers Lawrence, a four-time winner on the DP World Tour, 'one of the best young players in the world' in 2024.
Only he thinks golf media should know a whole lot more about him.
Lawrence just hasn't been marketed like others, in the eyes of Aiken.
The South African captured his fourth win at the BMW International Open in Germany last month.

Aiken tweeted:
"This is the problem we have in golf at the moment. @ThristonL is one of the best young players in the world at the moment and the golf media don’t know much about him because of the agenda of certain tours and the way they only market a few players. Golf has a lot of growing to do."
