Tour pro announces shock retirement from pro golf at 31 years old
One-time Ladies European Tour winner Amy Boulden, who has recently appeared as a guest on Sky Sports Golf, has confirmed her retirement from the game aged 31.
Ladies European Tour pro Amy Boulden has confirmed her shock retirement from the game at the age of just 31.
Wales' Boulden won her sole Ladies European Tour title at the 2020 VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open by three shots.
She also won once on the LET Access Series with a playoff victory at the 2014 Association Suisse de Golf Ladies Open.
Earlier this season, Boulden announced a partnership with OnlyFans.
The deal saw her wear an OnlyFans branded golf shirt for the 2024 season.
It also saw Boulden share behind-the-scenes insights into gym workouts and golf instruction videos.
Boulden did not play in many majors but she did finish a very respectable T9 at the Women's British Open at Turnberry.
Prior to turning professional in 2013, Boulden enjoyed one of the most successful amateur careers in Welsh golf history.

She also represented Europe at the Junior Ryder Cup and Junior Solheim Cup, as well as Great Britain & Ireland at the 2012 Curtis Cup.
Boulden has recently appeared as a guest during PGA Tour and LPGA coverage on Sky Sports Golf.

But on Monday 2 December 2024, Boulden confirmed her retirement from the game via a post on Instagram where she has just shy of 50,000 followers.
"As the 2024 season comes to a close, I wanted to take the time to share some news with you all…" wrote Boulden alongside a photo of her celebrating her sole victory on the Ladies European Tour in 2020.
"After 11 years of playing professionally on the Ladies European Tour, I have made the tough decision to step away from playing competitive golf.
"The journey, full of highs and lows, has been nothing short of incredible, and I look back full of gratitude for having the opportunity to play this sport all over the world and meet some amazing people along the way.
"I would also like to say thank you for all the support over the years- to my coaches, caddies, sponsors and family that have been there every step of the way.
"I now look forward with excitement to the next chapter of my life… thank you."
