Sergio Garcia announces third annual charity golf tournament to benefit Texas children
FORE Kids ATX to host third annual golf tournament & PAR-Tee on 1-2 November contributing to the Sergio & Angela Garcia Foundation.
FORE Kids ATX – a two-day golf charity event founded by Masters champion Sergio Garcia and his wife, Angela Garcia – returns for its third annual edition benefiting Dell Children’s Medical Center, Foster Village, The Muny Conservancy Austin Youth Golf Academy and The UGLI Foundation.
The philanthropic weekend featuring a cocktail reception with dynamic live entertainment and a celebrity golf tournament still has 2024 sponsorship opportunities available.
The charitable celebration will kick off with PAR-Tee at 6 p.m. on Friday 1 November at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin. This year’s PAR-Tee is “Cirque Du Austin”-themed and will feature acrobatics, aerialists, dinner, dancing and more. The evening will bring together hundreds of high-profile guests, such as actor Jared Padalecki, to support children in need of a better future. The night will be emceed by television host and personality Chris Harrison.
The FORE Kids Golf Tournament will follow on Saturday, Nov. 2 with a 9 a.m shotgun start at Fazio Foothills Golf Course at Omni Barton Creek. Here, professional golfers, public figures and athlete scratch golfers will gather to golf in the name of good. Participating professional golfers include Patrick Reed, Abraham Ancer, David Puig, and additional high-profile players who will be announced at a later date.
Since its inception in 2022, FORE Kids ATX has raised almost $5 million for organizations that improve the lives, programs and healthcare services for children and families in Central Texas. The Garcias are looking forward to this year’s event, eager to provide more children and families with quality healthcare, mental health resources and community programming – regardless of their ability to pay.
“My family and I are lucky to call Austin, Texas, our home,” said Sergio Garcia. “With our roots firmly planted here in Central Texas, it is truly a blessing to host FORE Kids ATX with Angela for the third year in a row, hopefully reaching even more families in need who also call Texas home.”
Sergio Garcia is a Spanish professional golfer whose career has spanned over two decades. A 2017 Masters champion and current participant in the LIV Invitational Series, Sergio has had an awe-inspiring golf career, spending much of it in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking. He most recently claimed his first individual LIV Golf win this summer in a playoff for the Andalucía title.
The Garcias now live in Austin. Angela Garcia attended the University of Texas and played for the school’s golf team. She later served as an on-air reporter and host for FOX Sports, NBC, Golf Channel and SiriusXM, where she had her own radio show. As dedicated parents to two children, the Garcias are passionate about supporting children and families in Texas through The Sergio & Angela Garcia Foundation. FORE Kids ATX will benefit the couple’s foundation and its various charity projects. Among the beneficiaries is The UGLI Foundation, which Angela Garcia founded in an effort to end bullying and create a better and brighter world for everyone.
“Reflecting on the past FORE Kids ATX events, we feel both humbled and grateful for the community members who have come together to support our vision for bettering the lives of children and families,” said Angela Garcia. “As we gear up for FORE Kids ATX 2024, we are honored to host an event that has provided a ray of hope each year for families who may be facing difficulties, such as affording healthcare, lack of mental health resources, childhood bullying and limited access to wellness programming.”
FORE Kids ATX is proudly sponsored by Michael and Jon Adams, Aligned Automation, The ATX Open, Circuit of the Americas and GSE Worldwide. Sponsorships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and will sell out. Become a sponsor here or donate to FORE Kids’ beneficiaries here.
