Jon Rahm's former LIV Golf teammate confirms next move
Jon Rahm's former Legion XII teammate Kieran Vincent has confirmed he is now going to give the DP World Tour a crack.
Jon Rahm's former LIV Golf teammate Kieran Vincent has confirmed he is set to give the DP World Tour a crack.
Vincent's terrible form on the lucrative breakaway tour saw him finish in the relegation zone in 2024.
He decided to try and earn his spot back via their Promotions event last week in Riyadh, but came up short despite a spirited performance.
His top-10 finish at LIV's version of qualifying school meant that he earned status on the Asian Tour's International Series.
Vincent may well tee it up in some of those events next year.
But in the meantime, he has confirmed that he is in the field for the forthcoming AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
The 27-year-old is playing at Mont Choisy Le Golf under the 'National spots' category.
Angel Ayora, the 20-year-old phenom who reportedly rejected LIV Golf's advances, is also in the field.
Has Jon Rahm signed anyone to his LIV Golf team yet?
Rahm has one vacant spot in his LIV Golf team.
Currently Rahm's teammates are Caleb Surratt and Tyrrell Hatton.
Caleb Surratt joined LIV in 2024, opting to not try and forge a career on the PGA Tour after turning professional when he left college.
The young American, who recently got married, finished 41st in the overrall standings.
Rahm was crowned the individual champion while Hatton finished fourth overall.
The 2023 Masters champion was reportedly interested in signing Angel Hidalgo.
Hidalgo, a DP World Tour player, pipped Rahm to victory at the Spanish Open and, given his ties to Callaway, would be a natural fit for the 26-year-old.
Tony Finau withdrew from back-to-back PGA Tour events, prompting speculation that he was in advanced talks with LIV.
But Finau has claimed his withdrawals were linked to his recovery from knee surgery.
The big American has pledged to tee it up on the PGA Tour's season-opener in Hawaii in January.
