An 'awkward' video clip of Greg Norman and Bryson DeChambeau celebrating his US Open victory has prompted the same joke from golf fans.

If you haven't heard, Bryson DeChambeau is now a two-time major champion.

The LIV Golf League player captured his second US Open title last week at Pinehurst No.2.

NEW: BRYSON BAFFLED AS NORMAN DECIDES TO TEND THE PIN AT LIV GOLF NASHVILLE!

And since then the 30-year-old American has been on tour with the trophy.

DeChambeau looks like he's running on fumes given he's been absolutely everywhere over the past seven days.

But he returned to the breakaway tour this week for the league's ninth event of the season in Nashville, Tennessee.

He received a hero's welcome at The Grove before the action got underway and even was reduced to tears in his pre-tournament news conference.

One person who was absolutely delighted to see DeChambeau's success was LIV commissioner Greg Norman.

DeChambeau was one of the first players to defect from the PGA Tour and both figures have been in the firing line over the past two years.

But both will feel somewhat vindicated now, given there are talks between the PGA Tour and LIV's backers to reunify the game.

And Norman will no doubt be delighted with the likes of DeChambeau for having the guts to try something different.

DeChambeau's victory lap with the US Open trophy also included a trek to see the Australian.

During his career, The Shark won the Open Championship twice but failed to secure victory in any other major.

Of course, his collapse at the 1996 Masters Tournament stands out, but he also finished second at the US Open twice.

That wasn't lost on golf fans when they viewed this clip.

"Closest he ever got to it," one X user wrote. "Greg finally gets to hold a US major," another added.

Others also pointed out that Norman had absolutely no idea where to put his hand in the exchange.

"Bro had no idea where to put his hand," one user wrote. Another added: "What a totally normal and natural interaction. Not staged at all."

Take a look at the clip here:

Why was Bryson DeChambeau in tears?

DeChambeau got emotional during his pre-tournament news conference.

He said he hadn't cried since that nervy four-footer dropped.

But then he went.

"I've got to just say I'm humbled by all of it," he said of the support he has received.

"I never would have thought that from a year and a half ago, things would be where they're at right now.

"I can't tell you how much everybody means to me and the people that stuck around."
