Golf fans let Rory McIlroy have it after the Northern Irishman missed a golden opportunity to claim a fairytale win at the Amgen Irish Open.

A closing birdie for the 23-year-old Dane saw him post a 6-under 65 and the set the lead at 9-under.
McIlroy then made a sloppy bogey at the par-4 15th and, whilst he bounced back with a birdie at the next, made another costly error by three-putting the 17th.
It meant he needed an unlikely eagle up the 72nd hole to force a playoff.
Although found the putting surface in two strokes he watched in horror as his TP5x slipped by one the right edge.
Watching on, Hojgaard seemed absolutely stunned at claiming his fifth DP World Tour title.
