913H

What they say

The 913H is engineered to produce faster ball speeds, a higher launch and less spin than 910H. SureFit hosel allows the golfer to make independent loft and lie adjustments.

What we say

One of the smartest looking hybrids I've tested this year, hardly surprising given it’s Titleist.

On first inspection, the 913H - suited for the better player - has a slightly smaller head and deeper face than 910H. I think it’s a much nicer, rounder shape with the white grooves on black face. Minimal offset is another big plus.

Pros
SureFit hosel for adjustability; Long, high and straight; Smart apperance; Custom fitting experience at Titleist National Fitting Centre;
Cons
Hard to think of one other than price

The SureFit hosel looks much less chunkier down by the ball, too, and the squarer leading edge was is another nice touch.

In terms of feel, I received a terrific sound at impact and solid off the face. I really felt like I was able to compress the ball.

Above average distance, accuracy and decent forgiveness on off-centre hits. Probably ideal for the better ball strikers, however, as it won't save all of your misses. With five strikes on the range, using ProTracer technology, I generated an averaged carry of 202 yards, distance of 217 yards, and offline distance of just six yards.

The adjustability helped me mask a lot of ball flight deficiencies but I would recommend you get yourself custom fit to find the correct loft and lie combinations, and ideal shaft specification.

Verdict

One of the top performers out there. It’s versatile, very long and pin-seeking straight. Workability was equally simple. If you’re thinking of taking the plunge for the 913H, I’d recommend you get yourself custom fit at one of the Titleist National Fitting Centres dotted around the UK in order to get the most out of this club.

Pro Verdict

The 913H provides everything a better player could ask for in a hybrid. It’s long, straight and versatile. A little too much of a mid-to-low trajectory for me. I would want something that launches a little higher for a hybrid but that's the beauty of being custom fit.
