WS-1
Manufactured with the characteristics required by Yonex Tour professionals, the WS-1 features an 8620 mild carbon steel head for maximum spin and distance control.
These wedges are also available with graphite shafts so the swing weights will match up with your graphite-shafted irons.
On first look, I noticed a rather bland looking club and a strange round shape compared to a traditional wedge. The finish is also a bit shiny which could be distracting on sunny days. 3

In terms of feel, I enjoyed a springy, pure and soft feel off the face. It also gave me bucket loads of spin. The milled 8620 carbon steel provides great feel and control off the clubface. Yonex is creating a reputation for themselves for creating clubs with impeccable feel.
Ball striking-wise, I sensed a nicely weighted club throughout the swing that provides good control. I also enjoyed a mid-to-high ball flight and reasonable forgiveness on off-centre hits.
Verdict
I'm not overly keen on the rounded leading edge as I prefer a squarer, sharper look. The feel is soft and responsive, however, and distance control is consistent.
Pro verdict (Tom Hayward)
Great feel, possibly the best feeling club in the test, but I'm not a big fan of the rounded appearance.
