He represented the U.S. at the Junior Presidents Cup in 2017, Junior Ryder Cup in 2018 and Walker Cup in 2018, the latter of which saw him become the youngest and first ever high schooler to represent his nation.
Bhatia made his first PGA Tour start in 2019 at the age of 17.
That was after receiving a sponsor's invite into the Valspar Championship.
A year later, Bhatia turned pro.
He made his pro debut on the PGA Tour at the 2019 Sanderson Farms.
Bhatia has won twice on the PGA Tour with victories coming at the 2023 Barracuda Championship and 2024 Valero Texas Open.

Bhatia is yet to win a major championship but it won't be surprising if he breaks through soon.
He has only played in a hanfdul of majors so far, with his best performance coming with a T16 at the 2024 US Open.
Bhatia was born on 31 January 2002 in Northridge, California, U.S.
He was introduced to golf at a very young age by his parents Sonny and Renu, who are from India.
His parent lived in Delhi but then made the decision to move to U.S. before Bhatia was born.
Akshay has two sisters, Rhea and Nikitta.
Bhatia currently resides in Wake Forest, North Carolina, with his girlfriend Presleigh Schultz.
