Tony Finau CRUISES to fifth PGA Tour win at Cadence Bank Houston Open
Tony Finau shot a 69 in the final round at Memorial Park to put the finishing touches on the fourth win in his last 30 starts on the PGA Tour.
Tony Finau romped to the third win in his last seven starts on the PGA Tour after winning the Cadence Bank Houston Open by four shots.
With rounds of 65, 62, 68 and 69 at Memorial Park, Finau completed a wire-to-wire victory which was also the fourth win in his last 30 starts on Tour.
After missing the cut at the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba, Finau revealed he didn't take a day off in pursuit of redemption and this worked to its full potential.
Tyson Alexander recorded his first-ever top-25 finish on Tour with a final-round 66 in Texas, but this was only enough to finish second on his fifth start of the season.
It wasn't Justin Rose's day either. He started seven shots behind and needed a monumental turnaround, but he struggled to a 72 in search of his 11th win on Tour.

Finau entered the final round with a four-shot lead on 15-under and he kept his foot on the gas by making four birdies in his first nine holes. He had a staggering eight-shot lead at this stage.
He carded three bogeys on the back nine, but the outcome was no doubt. He almost put a perfect finishing touch on a perfect week in Houston as his birdie putt on 18 fell an inch short of the cup.
He finished with a 1-under 69 to cap off a win on 16-under in front of his family and his coach Boyd Summerhays who he embraced. Finau is certainly enjoying the most successful period of his Tour career.
Englishman Ben Taylor couldn't quite manage a birdie on the 72nd hole to share second place with Alexander. As for Rose, he looked to the sky as he finally made one drop for birdie on 18. He finished in a tie for ninth on 6-under.
"It feels great. Honestly, on the first hole, I didn't know if I had it in me today. It was one of those days when I fought and fought and I made a lot of nice putts on the front nine to calm me into things," Finau said after his victory.
"I've never been in this position before, meaning that big of a lead with nine holes to play, so a lot of new nerves I would say - but overall, I felt as the round went on, I felt better and I'm just happy to get a W today.

"I've always had belief, but the confidence when you win is contagious. I've just always been a very hopeful person, I work extremely hard.
"I've worked extremely hard on my body and on my game and now I'm starting to bare the fruits of that labour of all that work. It feels amazing to have that be the case.
"You never know what's going to happen in this game. You always try to put your best foot forwards, that's what I've done over the years and I'm starting to put together a pretty full-package game."
