Sanderson Farms Championship: Prize purse, payout info, field

The Sanderson Farms Championship is the second regular-season event of the 2022-2023 PGA Tour season, where Sam Burns will attempt to defend his title. 

Burns, 26, will tee it up at The Country Club of Jackson once again. His head might be a bit sore as he recently helped the U.S. side claim the Presidents Cup. 

Though it appears that even in defeat the International side knew how to party. Just look at Sungjae Im!

American Burns won his second PGA Tour title here last October then went on to win the Valspar Championship for the second time in March.

He then won the Charles Schwab Challenge two months later, defeating his good pal Scottie Scheffler in a playoff. 

The 2022 Sanderson Farms Championship has a total prize purse of $7,900,000. It means that the winner will receive $1,422,000, which is $162,000 more than Burns won last year. 

It may not be a LIV Golf Invitational Series payout, but that's still a more than decent pay day. 

Other than Burns, the highest-profile players in the field include Sahith Theegala and Cameron Champ.
