PGA Tour player criticises ZOZO Championship host course despite great finish
Emiliano Grillo was very blunt with his opinion on Narashino Country Club in Japan, despite shooting a 64 in the final round to finish fourth.
Emiliano Grillo has started the PGA Tour season very well with two top-five finishes in just four starts. He only made two top-10s in the entirety of the 2022 season.
Grillo may not have been able to catch Keegan Bradley in the final round of the ZOZO Championship, but he still shot a 64 to finish in outright fourth place.
It was his third round out of four in the 60s at Narashino Country Club and he finished above the likes of Xander Schauffele, Viktor Hovland and Sahith Theegala.
But when he was asked if he liked the Japanese venue, the Argentinian provided a very blunt answer which nobody expected, considering his impressive form.

"Not really. I don’t like it, to be honest," Grillo said. Say what you really think Emiliano.
"It's a tournament you have to play. It's a lot of points and not so many players (78-man field), so obviously I feel like I want to keep playing it here. I don't know if that's going to be the case, but it's been a great week," he added.
He wanted to be honest, and he was. The 30-year-old got what he came for as he earned 9.41551 OWGR points to move from 87th to 75th in the world rankings.
Unfortunately for Grillo, he couldn't find the form in 2022 to make it into the Presidents Cup side that was eventually beaten by America at Quail Hollow last month.
His sole win on the PGA Tour came at the Frys.com Open in 2016 and he will look to fly the flag for Argentina on the PGA Tour in 2023 after a hot start to the season.
