Patrick Cantlay filmed upping his pace before making hole-in-one!
Patrick Cantlay made a hole-in-one during the second round of the designated PGA Tour event at Hilton Head.
There was a very muted celebration from Patrick Cantlay after he made a hole-in-one during the second round of the RBC Heritage.
Cantlay just about (?) managed to crack a smile after he drained his tee shot at Harbour Town Golf Links.
The scene? The seventh hole. From 200 yards, Cantlay struck a towering iron shot with a gentle fade and it never left the pin.
Once it landed, his Titleist Pro V1x dribbled ever so slowly towards the centre of the cup and in. Boom.
Cantlay took to his Instagram to mock himself. "Playing faster," he captioned his post.
Watch the ace here:
Cantlay was having a bit of an up-and-down day at the designated event.
He started on the back nine and turned in 3-under 32 after notching five birdies and two bogeys.
Four consecutive pars followed before he picked up another stroke at the fifth hole. He made par at the sixth.
At the seventh, he took his score from 4-under to 6-under with the ace and eventually signed for a 6-under 65.
England's Justin Rose - making his 400th start on the tour - and Tommy Fleetwood also vaulted themselves into contention on day two.
As for Cantlay, he has been in the news after he was accused of playing too slowly at The Masters.
He was even trolled by Monty of all people!
Cantlay has defended himself - but this footage did look pretty damning.
Though it has to be said, he was filmed leading his group on the second day at Hilton Head:
