How much Carlos Ortiz and every player won at the Houston Open
Take a look at how much money Carlos Ortiz earned for his first PGA Tour title at the Houston Open.
Carlos Ortiz claimed his first PGA Tour title and a spot at the 2021 Masters after winning the Houston Open by two strokes and earning the biggest pay cheque of his career.
World No.1 Dustin Johnson and Hideki Matsuyama were applying the pressure throughout the final round, but Ortiz held his nerve and made two crucial birdies over the final few holes to secure the win.
"I made some huge putts on the front nine, that kickstarted my round, and after that I played really good, I didn't miss many shots, and it was awesome finishing with the birdie on 18," said Ortiz.
Ortiz took home the winner's share of $1,260,000 to earn the biggest pay cheque of his career, with his biggest pay day previously on the PGA Tour being $544,800 for a T-2 finish at the Mayakoba Golf Classic in 2019.
