Golf fans react to video of Matt Wallace doing "IRRESPONSIBLE" range drill
Matt Wallace posted a video of a rather risky training drill which caused quite the reaction from golf fans.
Matt Wallace posted a video of a risky swing plane training drill involving his golf coach Liam James and it has caused quite the reaction from golf fans, with one in particular labelling the drill as "irresponsible".
The Englishman has struggled with consistency over the past year or so and currently finds himself sitting 55th in the world rankings.
Wallace, who has won four times on the European Tour, put in a solid performance at Bay Hill during the Arnold Palmer Invitational where he finished in a tie for 18th place.
Following his latest top 20 finish, Wallace took to social media to show appreciation to his coach with a heartwarming caption that he put alongside a video of his interesting range drill.
"Coach Appreciation Post. After a few struggles, I feel we are on to something after this week. Liam James has been by my side for 2 years and we’ve done some great work. As Mr Palmer puts so well - 'the road to success is always under construction.'
"Ps - it helps if your coach is a perfect height for your swing plane."

Wallace's video was also posted on the European Tour's Instagram page, which is where golf fans started to have their say on the drill and one fan in particular - who happens to be a golf coach - did not like what he saw.
"I can see the point but it’s a bit irresponsible and showy for social media, as a coach I would never put myself at risk when a drill stick or golf bag can do the same job."
"Effective maybe; incredibly dangerous for less talented golfers and coaches!" said another golf fan.
