Tiger Woods back in Top 10 Highest Paid Athletes

During Tiger Woods' reign as the most dominant golfer on the planet, the big cat topped the Forbes Highest Paid Athletes list 11 times, more than any other athlete, having been top of the list in: 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013.

Since Woods slowed down his dominance in golf, other sports stars like Floyd Mayweather and Cristiano Ronaldo found themselves topping the Forbes list and this year it's tennis star Roger Federer who sits at No.1.

After winning The Masters in 2019 and adding another PGA Tour victory to his record-sharing number of 82, Woods has now returned to the top 10 in the Forbes Highest Paid Athletes list for the first time since 2015, sitting in 8th with $62.3 million.

The majority of Woods' earnings - $60 million to be precise - is through endorsement deals with huge brands like Nike and TaylorMade, whilst the remainder of his earnings have been through tournament winnings.
