A popular Scottish golf club with clubhouse and planning consent for a holiday park has been put up for sale, according to The Herald.

Kinloss Golf Club in Moray has been brought to the market with bids just shy of £1m.

This nine-hole parkland course has been a favourite with local golfers.

Players have raved about spectacular views across the Moray Firth.

Experts estimate that around 130 bottlenose dolphins live in the Moray Firth.

But Kinloss GC is now up for sale, much to the disappointment of locals.

The sale for the 50-acre site is available in two different lots.

Lot 1 is the golf course itself, including the clubhouse with planning consent for residential conversation at offers of over £500k.

Lot 2 is the holiday park site, including 16 lodge plots and six glamping pod plots at offers over over £400k.

Jennifer Campbell of DM Hall, who is overseeing the sales process, told The Herald:

“This site represents an exciting and rare opportunity for the open market. While this property clearly has commercial appeal, one cannot ignore the appeal of a private residential estate. Who doesn’t want their own golf course!”

An overview of Kinloss Golf Club on its website reads as follows:

Enjoy this 9-hole layout at Kinloss Country Golf Club that will provide a testing challenge for golfers of all levels. Set in stunning woodland, this course is the perfect place to enjoy a quick round of enjoyable golf.

The occasional winds sweeping in from the Moray Firth test the abilities of all golfers. The stunning views over the Moray Firth towards the mist shrouded mountains on the Black Isle also make for a fine golfing experience.

The newly extended clubhouse offers a varied menu of tasty treats including Light Snacks Home-made Soups, All day breakfast, Paninis, and Specialty Burgers. The bar is fully stocked with local malts, their own clubhouse dark ale and a selection of wines and beers.
