See you on the Forum!
We've given a facelift to the forum - let's hear from YOU!

A plea came this week from one of our regular contributors asking fellow
Golfmagic forum members to update their
profiles. And, of course, it's far more interesting to have a dialogue with a complete stranger, if you know their interests and their golfing background.
"I dont understand why so many posters appear reluctant to give details about their golf, how often they play and where they live and play," he said.
"It would also help if more people offered a chance to email them to perhaps discuss some piece of information relevant to a particular poster but not to everyone in the forum."
It prompted us to look again at the Golfmagic forum to ensure it covered every aspect of what golfers are talking about at this time of the year - traditionally the eve of the golf season in the UK and Northern Europe.
As the No.1 internet golf community in the UK, we can understand why some members may wish to keep their email address private, but it would help enormously if more of you updated your profiles honestly, while still retaining your anonymity through a nickname if you prefer.

Among the new innovations are threads for those
new to the forum - a chance to introduce yourself and strike up a regular dialogue - and an opportunity to tell us about the
other sports you play or follow.
While many of us, who work day-to-day in a group environment, can discuss with our colleagues our football, rugby or cricket passions, for example, others may prefer to express their allegiance with soul-mate strangers on the forum.
Here, too. you can discuss your latest
equipment purchases - good, bad or indifferent - and seek advice about
custom-fitting and clubmaking with leading experts in the field who watch the forum closely, always ready to step in to answer your questions.
We also encourage you to write your own
reviews of the equipment you're currently using for the chance to win great prizes every month.
The Golfmagic forum also offers the chance to meet up with fellow members
looking for a game or willing to host you with a discounted green fee at the course where they are a member.
The

Courses section focuses on venues that are recommended (or not) for outings and societies while
Travel concentrates on overseas destinations you've tried and tested with varying results.
For those suffering with their
Fitness and Health, this new section will attract sympathisers and, hopefully, prompt others to offer good advice about remedies ideal for golfers.
While the
Instruction section, popular
Rules and Handicapping, topical
Tour Talk and the ever controversial
19th Hole, continue to provide a feast of topics, we have also introduced a
Feedback/Help Desk.
It's here where you can tell us if the site isn't working properly for you, or if you wish to post a technical query. We'll check it regularly and hopefully provide all the answers.
Thank you for joining the Golfmagic community. we're sure the new and improved forum, will make it easier for you to find an appropriate topic to comment on. Your opinions, offered in the right spirit, are greatly valued.
