How Craig, Iain and David captured great prizes.

Another recent competition winner was Iain Campbell, a 26-handicap member of Strathavan Golf Club in South Lanarkshire, Scotland.

41-year-old Iain won an EziCaddy EZi5 trolley for his story of his most memorable golfing moment where he described how he tumbled into a burn while at Polkemmet Golf Course.
“I hooked my shot off the fifth tee where the closest route to the ball was over a one-foot wide concrete block over a pipe.

“I slipped and fell upside down into the burn and as I picked up my bag to empty the water a dozen golf balls fell out and floated downstream.

“Soaking wet I finished my round and luckily had a change of clothes.”
Completing our winners is 43-year-old David Ward, who won a £400 Rotanet 3 golf practice net and mat, courtesy of Huxley Golf.

David, from Shirley near Solihull, is a teaching assistant at a local school for students with learning difficulties including autism, Downs Syndrome, profound ADHD and physical limitations.

He specialises in travel training for the more capable and physiotherapy for the less mobile and has donated his prize to the school. He told me: “I am honestly choked that Golfmagic chose me to win this prize. The school are really pleased about this, too.

“We tried to go to a driving range previously but because the nearest ones are outside of Birmingham postcodes it meant paying some ridiculous extra insurance. It has also made these kinds of trips unfeasible because some of our guys don’t travel well when they get excited.

“But to have this facility at the school will mean so much to the staff and the students, so our thanks to Golfmagic and Huxley Golf.”

David, a 19-handicap golfer at Widney Manor, told us his best golf achievement was an eight over par score using a Golden Goose putter he’d also won on Golfmagic.

FOOTNOTE: Apologies to the guys who won a day out at Bearwood Lakes and to be custom-fitted for Cleveland 588 wedges. Because of unforeseen circumstances we were unable to host you on the original date, but we sincerely appreciate your patience.
