TaylorMade unveils Spider Mallet
Get to grips with Sergio Garcia's new magic wand
TaylorMade is expanding its popular Spider range again with the addition of the Spider Mallet, as currently wielded by Sergio Garcia and Dustin Johnson.
The counterbalanced, face-balanced, mallet-shaped putter will be the third in TaylorMade's counterbalancing movement, following on from the Daddy Long Legs and the Spider Blade, as used by 2013 US Open champion Justin Rose.
TaylorMade's director of iron, wedge and putters Brian Bazzel said: "The enthusiasm on Tour over Daddy Long Legs and Spider Blade made the creation of the Spider Mallet a no-brainer. It's the perfect putter for players who the benefits of counterbalancing with a beautifully shaped mallet-style head."
Spider Mallet will be available at the end of August for £159 in both 35" and 38" length.
